As a research and development enterprise of functional additives, Tiger Additives can endow products with performance bias or versatility in product design to meet the actual industrial production needs of more customers. Tech-27305 is a special silicone leveling agent developed by Tiger Additives, which has universal and efficient product performance, and can significantly reduce the procurement costs and product development difficulties of downstream enterprises.
In response to the market demand, Tiger Additives has brought a special silicone leveling agent Tech- 27305, which is committed to achieving the “freedom of use” of silicone surface activity, achieving excellent leveling, low side effects and high cost performance. Different from the same type of Tech-2033 silicone leveling agent, Tech-2033 27305 has more remarkable leveling and low-foaming properties on the premise of meeting the requirements of recoatability and compatibility, and can meet more use scenarios.

Tech-27305 levelling agents provide excellent formula tolerance and consistency. As a high-molecular-weight organic silicon level agent, that organic silicon leveling agent retain the advantages of rapid leveling of organic silicon, reduces the side effect of silicon to a certain extent, such as the risk of shrinkage cavity or fog caused by compatibility problems, and the problem of recoating caused by excessive addition, and is safer to use.
Tech-27305 leveling agent makes the R D-production technology transfer become simple, such as the speed of dispersion in production, temperature, the size of the pressure fluctuations in the construction of spraying, gun distance fluctuations and other factors, has little effect on its leveling performance.

Because that high-silicon polymer has more migration ‘inertia’, a vertical state is easily for on the surface of a paint film when the high-silicon polymer is excessively added, the high-silicon inertia and the vertical state influence the migration of the organic silicon level agent, further influence the interlayer adhesive force, and the organic silicon formed on the surface of the Tech 27305 leveling agent is more ‘sparse’, Its polymer segment structure is more inclined to “lie” on the surface rather than “stand”, which provides a good condition for the rapid migration of silicone to the recoating layer, thus ensuring excellent recoatability.

In addition, Tech-27305 leveling agent does not contain functional groups that may affect recoatability, thus avoiding the loss of recoatability of the system due to the participation of end groups in the crosslinking reaction of the resin.

Tech-27305 Leveling Agent offers high cost-effectiveness and broad applicability, demonstrating excellent compatibility with most resin systems. It provides superior substrate wetting properties without adversely affecting recoatability, while delivering outstanding leveling performance.

We selected comparable international products for benchmarking, conducting cross-comparisons of performance differences across four major systems: 2K PU systems, UV-curable systems, epoxy systems, and alkyd systems.

Across the four major systems (2KPU, UV, epoxy, alkyd), Tech-27305 leveling agent demonstrates compatibility “indistinguishable from the blank sample,” with no impact on transparency after addition.
Tech-27305 exhibits high compatibility with international products across various resin polarities and solubility parameters, providing the prerequisite for “unrestricted use and universal applicability.” Its introduction does not introduce new compatibility issues, preventing surface defects caused by the additive itself.

Shake test results indicate that varnishes containing leveling agents show no significant improvement in bubble stability except for epoxy systems, which is uncommon among highly compatible surfactants.

After ensuring compatibility and non-foaming properties, we conducted trowel/spray tests with only 0.1% additive in 2K clearcoat to compare leveling differences:
In trowel tests, Tech-27305 demonstrated superior anti-cratering properties compared to the international product, while leveling performance was comparable. Both systems with leveling agent showed significantly improved leveling effects compared to the blank control sample.

Through spray testing in a 2K system (at an addition rate of 0.1% of the formulation), both Tech-27305 and the international product demonstrated significant improvements in paint film leveling, achieving high gloss without haze. No noticeable difference was observed between the two in leveling performance. Tech-27305 strikes an excellent balance between versatility and high performance, meeting the needs of most downstream enterprises.
The core value of Tech-27305 lies in achieving a balance between high performance and application safety. In terms of performance, it demonstrates excellent compatibility, low bubble stability, and outstanding anti-cratter capability across various resin systems (2K PU, UV, epoxy, etc.). Its leveling effect is comparable to international benchmark products.
In summary, Tech-27305 significantly streamlines the transition from R&D to production. Its insensitivity to raw material variations and process fluctuations makes it a reliable additive that effectively boosts production efficiency and product yield rates.
