The precise combination of additive systems in the field of automotive repair paint will be analyzed in this article, taking into account the entire construction process, to explore how TAG additives optimize coating performance and enhance paint film aesthetics through professional additive performance

1. The entire process of repairing paint
The solution for the entire industrial process is different from the "traditional single coating solution". Systematic solutions have very high requirements for the performance matching and balance between various coatings. The solution of a single coating is no longer sufficient to meet the current market demand for internal rolling. Taige additives provide customized development of additives and full process cost reduction and efficiency improvement solutions
The entire process of car repair can be roughly divided into six steps. Firstly, remove the old coating or polish the damaged coating, thoroughly remove the oxidized paint surface/rust, and expose the metal substrate. Then, spray 2K epoxy primer and fill it with atomic ash putty to meet the requirements of adhesion and foundation flatness. Next, spray the intermediate primer to further level the base surface, and lightly spray the colored paint topcoat multiple times (with flash drying intervals between each layer). Finally, spray the topcoat to achieve a mirror gloss

2. Guidelines for Mixing Additives
Different coatings have different effects, and additives can enhance the corresponding performance of the coating, meeting requirements such as color, adhesion, and mirror flow

① Epoxy Primer
Epoxy primer mainly strengthens the basic adhesion and serves as a barrier for corrosion and rust prevention, sealing off abrasion marks and isolating atomic ash, migratory substances of old coatings, etc.

In this epoxy primer, TAIGA additive Tech-5035 dispersant has excellent viscosity reduction and storage stability, Tech-1570 leveling agent has a good improvement in leveling performance, and Tech-7720 can ensure the adhesion and sealing of the primer. The various additives complement each other

②  Atomic Ash Putty
The core function of atomic ash putty is to provide structural filling and surface leveling treatment for damaged car bodies. Basic formula - Recommended dosage of additives :

In this atomic ash putty, the TAIGA additive Tech-544 dispersant exhibits good viscosity reduction and excellent storage stability, allowing the atomic ash putty to meet the smoothness of scraping, while Tech-428 effectively suppresses and eliminates bubbles at high powder filling levels, reducing the impact of bubbles on the filling and sealing properties of the atomic ash putty

③ Intermediate primer coating
Intermediate primer (also known as "second coat primer" or "second coat slurry") directly affects the durability, aesthetics, and construction efficiency of the paint surface, and has requirements for continuity and compatibility;Basic formula - Recommended dosage of additives :

In this intermediate primer, the TAIGA additive Tech-598 dispersant has excellent viscosity reduction, good storage stability, and multiple additives work together to ensure the adhesion and aesthetics of the paint film

4. color paint topcoat
Color paint and topcoat are the core coatings that determine the appearance of a vehicle. Their function is not only to provide color, but also to provide decoration, protection, and functionality. Basic formula - Recommended dosage of additives :

The combination of Tech-1601 and Tech-2550 leveling agent can achieve excellent leveling and fullness. At the same time, it can also be observed that the use of Tech-58687 dispersant to disperse organic pigments results in a bright and visually striking hue

5. Topcoat
The topcoat in automotive repair paint is the final layer of the coating system, mainly used to provide comprehensive protection for the paint surface and enhance its aesthetic appeal. Basic formula - Recommended dosage of additives:

In this glossy varnish, the use of TAIGA additives Tech-1068, Tech-1651, and Tech-2306 leveling agents can result in excellent initial and post leveling of the coating, while also providing excellent clarity and fullness
