Tech-28412 | Excellent substrate wettability, suitable for metal paints and plastic paints with oil stains, dense substrates, low surface tension and low polarity substrates, porous and difficult to wet substrates, and can be applied to coatings, inks, textiles, leather, adhesives, and papermaking
The anti shrinkage function of the wetting agent is very effective in preventing shrinkage holes, needle holes, fireproof mountain passes, and nest holes. In addition to substrate wetting and anti shrinkage function, it also promotes fluidity and excellent recoating performance

Surface tension of 0.1%, 0.01% aqueous solution of substrate wetting agent 28412 and competitor 4100

Two Main Functions of Coating Wetting Agents
Wetting of the substrate, reducing surface tension, and maintaining liquid/solid interfacial forces. One is static surface tension—providing excellent substrate wetting and anti-cratering performance without affecting adhesion. The other is dynamic surface tension—in applications such as paper, paperboard, and inkjet inks, it suppresses foam at high speed while delivering excellent wetting of both substrate and pigments

Testing Procedure
TAIGA (Tech-28412) high-performance organosilicone wetting agent is designed for extremely fast wetting of difficult-to-wet substrates. It features strong penetration and compatibility, sharply reduces surface tension, and delivers excellent anti-cratering performance.
