Tech-6311: A cost-effective dispersant suitable for dispersing high pigment pigments
Release Date:2025-01-04 14:06:00
News Category: Company News
Tech-6311 is a new generation of block type polymer dispersant developed based on controlled polymerization technology. It contains multiple anchoring groups and has strong adsorption capacity for various organic pigments, especially carbon black. It can greatly reduce the operating viscosity of the grinding system, increase the pigment filling amount, and have strong ability to prevent flocculation and coarsening, which can greatly improve the storage stability of the ground color paste
Features / Characteristics
1. Suitable for medium- to high-polarity systems; offers good compatibility with common coating resins and excellent versatility in coating systems
2. Significantly improves the wetting and dispersing capability of the binder for pigments and fillers, reduces system viscosity, enhances flow, and shortens grinding/dispersing time
3. As a polymeric hyperdispersant, it provides excellent anti-recoarsening (anti-flocculation) performance. Compared with low-molecular-weight wetting/dispersing agents, it greatly extends the storage stability of ground color pastes

Experimental purpose and significance:
Enhances Color Development of Coating Films
Through the wetting and encapsulation action of the dispersant, pigment particles are ensured to be uniformly distributed in the medium, improving color consistency and saturation.
Enhances Pigment Stability
Designed to improve pigment stability under various conditions and reduce sedimentation and agglomeration/flocculation.
Boosts Pigment Tinting Strength / Coloring Power
By optimizing dispersant performance, pigment tinting strength is enhanced, delivering more vivid and durable color.
Experimental Formula

Testing & Evaluation Methods
① Grinding / Dispersion
1 part (black/red paste) : 1 part (zirconia beads). Shake in a vibrator for 1–2 hours until fineness reaches 5–10 µm.
② Color Development / Color Display
10 g 1K clear varnish (containing CAB) + 2 g color paste. Mix evenly, then apply uniformly onto black/white contrast paper using a 50 µm applicator.
③ Tinting Strength / Coloring Power
10 g color paste + 10 g silver paste (containing CAB). Mix evenly, then apply uniformly onto black/white contrast paper using a 50 µm applicator
