I am looking for a defoamer suitable for UV-curable acrylic adhesives; the defoamer should not adversely affect bonding performance.
Application:Anti-sag rheological additives

Based on our observations, a 0.3% concentration of Tech-498 is highly effective at defoaming UV-curable acrylic adhesives. Tech-498 is a polymer-based defoamer that has no adverse effects on bonding performance.
We are looking for additives to address poor wetting of substrates, such as the poor wetting or pinholes that occur when applying water-based acrylic adhesives to polyester film. Do you have any addit
Application:Anti-sag rheological additives
Reply:
The main cause of this problem is the difference in surface tension between your water-based acrylic adhesive and the polyester film. Adding 0.3% Tech-2849N will significantly reduce the adhesive’s surface tension, allowing it to wet the polyester film effectively. Tech-2849N is a modified silicone surfactant; to the best of our knowledge, it has no adverse effects on bonding performance.
We manufacture automotive interior components made of PP, ABS, and polyamide. Our customers expect our components to fully meet the test requirements of VDA 270 and 277. Can you recommend suitable pro

Based on your situation, we recommend contacting the manufacturer of the plastic pellets. They can add our entrapment additive, BYK-MAX P 4200, during production to reduce VOCs or odors. The BYK-MAX P 4200 additive must be combined with degassing—or, preferably, vacuum degassing—to be effective; therefore, it is not suitable for injection molding applications but must be used in earlier processing stages. This additive is suitable for PP and ABS. However, it is not suitable for polyamide, as its active ingredient is a water-based emulsion, which can damage polyamide.
I have noticed that even when great care is taken to control the laser energy and the dimensions of the plastic parts during laser welding, errors still occur. This issue may be caused by poor dispers

In most cases, the poor performance of laser additives is caused by uneven dispersion during the injection molding stage. In such cases, we recommend optimizing the injection molding process parameters, such as increasing screw speed and dynamic pressure. If this does not resolve the issue, you should contact the masterbatch manufacturer; they can achieve proper dispersion of the laser additive by incorporating a dispersing additive, such as BYK-MAX P 4102. This will help ensure uniform distribution of the laser additive during injection molding.
Is it possible for high-density polyethylene filled with talc or short glass fibers to achieve the tensile strength and impact strength of polypropylene? Are any other additives required?
Application:Anti-sag rheological additives
Reply:
Such products are likely used in many components and have specific mechanical and thermal performance requirements. HDT is the biggest challenge, as there is a significant difference between PE and PP in this regard. We recommend using polymer-based additives such as BYK-P 4101. This additive reduces the surface tension of fillers or glass fibers, bringing it closer to that of PE. Due to the high functionality of BYK-P 4101, it provides better wetting of the fillers and improved adhesion between the fillers and the polymer. As a result, mechanical properties are enhanced, including elastic modulus, impact strength, and heat deflection temperature.
